Costume Contest

Test out your pet's Halloween costume early at the Paws in the Park Costume Contest, sponsored by PetMedic Urgent Care! The costume contest is open to everyone, and pre-registration is recommended. We will be awarding prizes for:

• Spookiest Costume

• Funniest Costume

• Most Creative Costume

• Best in Show (chosen from winners of other three categories)

Registration is a $25 donation to the AWLA. Space is limited. Winners will be determined by a committee, and best in show will be determined by audience applause.

Contestants should arrive at the main stage no later than 1:15 p.m. to sign in or register. The costume contest will take place around 1:30 p.m. Registration will be accepted day-of the event. Humans are welcome to dress up with their animals, but it's not required.

While we love all animals, this event is only appropriate for pets that are comfortable in crowds and with other pets. For the safety of all attendees, pets and human, all pets must be on non-extendable leashes that are 6 feet or shorter (or other species appropriate equipment).

No costume? No problem. If you'd like to participate but don't have a costume for your animal, we will have costumes available on site for you to peruse and choose from.

Each category winner will receive a pet-themed basket filled with loads of goodies!
